Agree with Andy. DiscusLover, its important to try to be careful when giving advice in the beginners section. We all slip up and make mistakes at times, me included, but I agree with Andy, that stocking advice was absurd!

Agreed, he also keeps giving advice of water changes to "stabilize" numbers in a fishless cycling tank to get nitrites down. We know you just want to be helpful discuslover but that isn't being helpful.

But if I manage to get a tank for christmas (18 inc tall or more nad 4 ft) I would be able to keep 1 of them???

Yeah in an 18inc x 4ft you would be able to keep at least 2 maybe more depending if they paired up or their attitude (all cichlids have different personalities)
