those are quite nice fish that im sure went for a lot...
some of them i am guessing well over $50. (i havent looked yet)
aquabid is just like ebay.
if you buy fish from overseas, i think all of those are-then you have to pay for the fish + 5$/per fish import fee + sometimes a box charge and 3.5% of the total to cover the paypal fees.
they ship the fish to the transhipper (im guessing someone in california) and then the transhipper emails you with the US cost of shipping from her to you. you pay that. she ships you the fish. hopefully you are happy with them :)

no-they are not wild. wilds arent bright colors like that (with a few exceptions)

fyi-a lot of people on this board are against buying wild bettas as is the ibc as well.
:/

All of those fish are just supurb! :D I especially like the red one! WOW!

Oh, i love the last two you posted! the others are groovy, but those are deffinately my favs.

Yeah, i've had troubles with aquabid too. spent $50 on a fish i didn't get. -_-'

ooooooooo! wow. those are beauties. I'd love to get some like that but I'm nervous about having fish shipped.

Actually its horrible how bettas come to the LFS they come in those little cups with HALF water and with Methylin Blue

Bettas (and other fish) traveling around the world for days and arriving alive isn't that uncommon. Some of my bettas travelled from Canada to Finland for 8 days and they were just fine. Others came from Thailand and it took only a bit over a day to arrive.

If the person who is sending them knows what he/she is doing, it will be more than likely to get them in perfect condition.

And I still drool over those pictures.

You're right of course. I just find it amazing that these little creatures are getting shipped around the world by post of all things. I sell on eBay and it's a constant challenge to get things to where they're going in a timely fashion and in the same shape as they left here. One of our parcels going to the U.K. from Canada took 6 months; apparently it had detoured through Singapore! :dunno:
