Went For A Fag Came Back And Found

So Casper my new bettas been floating around in a breeding trap while hes temp tank is warming up - temp just til tomorrow when i get the dividers put in the 60 litre
Went out for a fag , got chatting to a neighbour must have been about 20-30 mins , came back couldn't find him
he was up the top of the tank making a bubblenest - he must have jumped out of the breeder
He was totally ignoring the ladies

nasty old me got the breeder and scooped him back in - temp tank not warmed up yet - now when we go for a fag we're not going together

did i do the right thing , should i have just left him to finish hes nest and see what happened?

well i do appologise if anyone was offended but bugger me boots its what i do all the time - go for a fag ,maybe i should just remember when on a site with other nationalities it's a ciggy lol else i'll get my bum kicked

Funnily enough, the other meaning for fag is hardly ever used over here.... we say something even more offensive, which I will not post on a public forum. It starts with p, you probably know which word I mean. Or sometimes we're polite and we just say gay.

It's not offensive to people in the uk at all as no one ever uses the American meaning of the word. Fag just means ciggarettes hear... nothing else. I did manage to put my foot in it once with my Canadian cousin by asking if I could borrow a rubber (I meant eraser, apparently over there it means something else... )
