Hello all, again. This is my third and LAST Gourami that has succumbed to what I believe, is, Bloat.
His scales are NOT Sticking out. I caught it early. His belly is NOT Round. I have pictures of the previous gourami's and the bloat they got. Well, now, My last one is sick with it. NO other fish has been affected by it. But the gourami's. .-. I've put aquarium salt in the tank, tried to feed him peas, and added half a capsule of Fish Mox, (Amoxicillin,) Into the aquarium. It's a 40 inch 40 Gallon aquarium. Any tips or ideas?
I will post pictures upon request.

1. Water parameters. (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, PH, temp', Hardness etc) Hard water. Not sure of the rest, been told water is fine a week or so ago.
2. A full description of the fishes symptoms. Occasionally swimming around, siting on bottom of tank and not wanting to eat. (First one not wanting to eat.)
3. How often you do water changes and how much. About 15%, Once a week.
4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water. Prime, Dechlorinater, Aquarium Salt,
5. What tank mates are in the tank. 3 Mollies, 3 Swordtails, 1 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian ram, 2 Golden Wonder killi's, 2 Pleco's, 2 Corydoras, and 3 Guppies.
6. Tank size. 48 Inches, 40 Gallons.
7. Finally Have you recently added any new fish? Golden Wonder killi's, but they were fine.
Tank Temp- Around 70-80.

What species of gourami are we talking about here? If it is a dwarf gourami I think you are dealing with Dwarf Gourami Decease (DGD). This species is very prone to getting it and it is 100% fatal. I'm pretty sure there is no cure if this is what we are talking about.

You have corys and they are intolerant of any amount of salt in the tank. You may have issues with that. Also there really should be at least 6 of them.

Also how hard is your water? The angel, corys, plecos, and the gouramis should be kept in soft water though most can adapt to moderately hard water but they should not be in water that is too hard.

I figured it was that disease. I've heard about it,and since I was pressured into buying fish from a big name petstore , I wasn't sure or not if it'd have it. What are some symptoms? I've been told my water is pretty hard. Not sure how to soften it. Our LFS is pretty far away.. I never do a full dose of salt, my corydoras seem fine with it. I'm aware I need a few more. xD All of my Cory's, angels, and plecos are perfectly fine and active.
