Im in Iowa and there is one LFS to get supplies and information.
I started out thinking I would do salt water and got everything set up ready for substraight, water and cycling. Well discouraged by the prices that have added up I decided to take another look at things.
considering that I have never had a fish tank before I thought it might be a good idea to use the tank initally as fresh water and reconfigure things after a couple years. This would allow me to get use to water testing and changes, feeding and cleaning.
Well I have read a lot and would rather do a fishless cycle to keep from unneccesarily stressing livestock. In this process of trying to find help around me I have the local lfs who no longer will talk to me about things. Now I dont think Im being a Jerk about the whole thing I just would like to engage in a conversation about other possibilities about cycling and doing things.
Now I am SOOO completely frustrated Im ready to give the whole thing up.
