While taking some platies to my LFS (they were too nasty and were even chasing Chai about!) I decided that if the LFS had a male in with guppies, which they often do, then I might take a chance and put him in my 64L.
Unfortunately, they didn't have any males in with the guppies, but they did have a rather pretty pink crown tail female there! :D
I was just wondering, do you think I should go for her and put her in my 64L tank? I'm really very tempted to, especially since she was being bullied by her tank mates in there :(

lol if you like her, go for it.

I went looking for a male last year and came away with 4 girls instead :)

The last female I got was horrible to my other fish, and she even managed to make a tear in one of my guppies fins, but luckily my LFS took her back.
This one seems to be much more calm. And tbh, much prettier too

They can be just as nice or nasty as the males unfortunately.

One of my girls took a total dislike to baby apple snails and wouldn't leave them alone. I've not re-introduced them and she's perfectly fine with them now they are fully grown.

Awhh :( Glad to hear she's okay with them now, though :good:

I'm going to go and buy her, but first we need to pick our dog up from the vets (he had to have an operation on his birthday :() and drop off a birthday card.

Yay can't wait to see pics. Hope your dog is ok, what op did he have?

She's a little too quick right now, but once she settles down will try and get some good ones :D She has a little damage to the fin that runs along her belly (I have no idea what it's called!) and she has a small lump on her chin (I'm presuming just a tiny bit of fungus) so I'll just keep up the water changes and the medication I was running in there anyway and I'm sure she'll perk up soon :good:

He's fine. :) He just had to have some teeth removed and a skin tag cut off. The teeth were rotten and needed to be taken out else they could have infected his jaw, and the skin tag had been there for a long time so my mum wanted it removed.
We picked him up and he's not quite with us, but it's his birthday today so he'll be getting some special treatment for the rest of the day.

Managed to get some pics!..even if they aren't very good.

Yeah my Cookie has had his teeth out 3 times now. The last time he was 14!!! I was worried sick but it had to be done or they said it could damage his jaw. Your new girl is beautiful, she's very similar to one of mine I got in the lfs. Mine is tiny and has pink fins and a light body. I can't waut to see how she turns out when she's grown.

Awh no :( Sounds similar to what happened with Isaac. I think he's resting in the sun now. His favourite thing to do

I'm hoping she'll colour up a bit. She can't have been happy in the tank she came from, she was being bullied and she was just snooping around the bottom when I went back to buy her. I hope her body colour sort of smooths out a bit, too. :)

I was a little worried about how she would react to my guppy, but she's completely fine with him. I just added a couple of cups of tank water into her bag, and he swam up to it and tried to get in. She just looked at him and swam off!
Hopefully that'll be a good sign for things to come :)

Have netted her from the bag and put her into the breeding trap to settle for a few days. Was looking at her and realised that she was holding her right pectoral fin close to her body. Do you think she's injured it?
