Well, I Decided! 6 Otos!

So along with the 5 guppies, I have now added 6 otos! The tank is complete! (20 gallon)

Here's a pic of the skinny little guy gorging on a algae covered shell. I sure hope he gets a fat round belly soon.

Are you sticking with so few fish expecting to have fry very soon? Just curious

Well, I'm expecting fry to be eaten. I'm happy with what is in the tank now. I'd rather have too few fish than too many, especially since I will be away from my tank for weeks, maybe months at a time, to be left under the supervision of my little brother... little meaning 21.

oto's are a terrific choice. I had a brown algae 'outbreak' a few months ago in my 46gal tank and a couple of oto's cleaned it up in about 10 days. They are also fine tankmates for my community

I had one flying solo, but have just added 3 more.

Good choice, great little fish they are.

They are so silly! I moved another algae covered shell to them last night and this morning you can see the shell again! I do have algae flakes/chunks for them that sink so once they finish off the algae on tank and plants, they can still keep their big fat round bellies.
