i gave my mate a hand last week digging his pond and stuff ,he phoned me over the weekend to say he was struggling with the liner so i went and gave him a hand ,got it filled up etc edge stones laid,soooo he phoned yesterday to ask what he should do about the cables from the pump etc ,so i said just stick em down with something (meaning a brick or weight) sooooo he phoned this evening to say "i think ive got a leak somewhere,off i went for a look see 
he only went a pinned the cables down with metal tent pegs,yup straight through the liner bottom
hes a bit red faced to say the least

so hes busy draining it as i type and ill go down at the weekend and patch it for him
