To all our marine section members:

It is with great pleasure that I can introduce to you our new Marine Moderator Skifletch.



I've known Ski for quite sometime and I can honestly say he is a great guy. His presence here in the salt section is well-known to all of us. He is extremely knowledgable..his posts are fair and balanced and helpful. Not only that, he is all over the board frequently and covers all sections very well.

Ski is a fellow NY'er (no....there was no 'fellow stater' edge) but lives more up towards the colder parts. He has been keeping fish for over 20 years and heavily into salt for the last two. He keeps a 65G reef tank and a 5.5G pico mantis tank. This gives him a good background both in large marine tank systems and also nano keeping. He has similar interests as I do from which we both probably took an interest in marine tanks: SCUBA diving and work in hyperbarics. Ski likes to DIY so, I've requested that he oversee our hardward section as well when Navarre returns.

So..with that brief intro....I want to state that I look forward to working with SkiFletch and welcome him to our moderator community. Here's to that spiffy looking hot rod avatar.

When it became apparent that Navarre was delayed in coming back, it was clear that there is too much territory to cover for one mod. We had 3...Great Lakes, Navarre and myself. Some delay included holidays and the always occupied Admin. Navarre reportedly is coming back soon. If he does NOT return, then, there may be need to discuss with Ski re: an opening for another salt mod, We'll have to see if BigC really gets into salt, but, he has many years of experience in keeping killifishes. As the new mod of this section, Ski's input carries equal weight. Since the other mods are in FW, the recs for a new mod will come out of this section. However, all the mods are pretty much up on various members here....all approved Ski having seen his posts in the past. SH

Yeah, big up for Skifletch from me.
As stated above I'm a relative newbie to the salty side of things but learning all the time.
Both steelhealr and Ski have been a major help in my journey across.
