Ok, I did a partial water change today and then when I flicked the tank light back on there were these little tiny things that look like a line. At first I thought it was debris from stirring up some gravel but then these little line looking things started to move a little bit. Now my fish are eating them. I have no idea what they are and is that normal? I did feed them some brine shrimp a while back but it was freeze dried. I hope this isn't a really bad sign of something. I couldn't take a picture because they're pretty small things.

Hope someone can help!

thanks

Over feeding causes planaria.
Don't worry they are not bad for your fish .
Just don't feed them for 3 days or so and they will die back and be eaten.

when feeding your fish take out any uneaten food.

Thanks for the help everyone! I feel better now.

But why didn't I notice these things before? I'm guessing the water change stirred them up but where were they all hiding at before?

its best to give your fish a little less food than more, and if you do what i do (the LFS told me i should do it) give my fish 4-5 flakes (crumbled) once every other day. it keeps them happy and when i feed them all the food gets eaten and none i mean NONE get left behind.
this isn't good when a fish get hurt because it will need more energy because it is healing while going by its daily life.
