i've found a couple of white shrimp in my mixed tiger and cherry tank
it's white with white eyes and just starting to get a few tiger stripes - it's still only about 2cm

there are only 3 of them that i have seen in the tank ---- what are they ?

oops forgot to add pics - only taken on phone but it looks whiter body in real life

First instinct is a bumblebee shrimp which could be a throwback gene from when your tigers have been kept with RCS/BCS/BBS in a previous spawn

i've never kept them with any of those shrimp but they could have been back when they were in malaysia at the shrimp farms , maybe a randy male got in there by mistake

going to catch them when i can and put them in my clearseal 18x10x10 with my cory and minnow fry and see what happens

Looks like i got one of these in the group i got from you last week Sarah. i spotted it the other night and wondered what the devil it was, looks the same as the one in the pic....thought you'd managed to send me a snowball as well as an easter egg!

Maybe you could isolate them and start a little selective breeding. I can see 'Poodle shrimps' becoming quite popular soon

BDS - Dont know what they are but they're not any tigers i've seen , hmmmmmmmm very odd

lol @ poodle shrimps

i looked up bee shrimps and they got dark eyes even the golden bees

Cant tell for sure from the photo, but kinda looks like they are tigers with muscle necrosis :/ .

How long have you seen them for? New shrimp are frequently imported with this but those that show signs this advanced don't tend to last more than a few days :(.

these were born in the tank i and have been this colour since birth , only just started seeing them again with moving stuff and catching the shrimp for sale
they came from breeding red , blue , black and standard tigers
i've had the tigers for about 4-6 months , i thought there were about 3 in the tank plus the one i sent to BDS

but now i've been having a good look around there are about 10-15 of them all the same age/size
and there are also some tiny ones the same colour in the tank just under 1cm

EDIT - JUST looked that up and dont look the same as my shrimpies --- so i'm still confused

It's good they don't look like that, but just be careful because from the pics it does look like it's internal rather than actual pigmentation :/.

On the bright side, if that's not the case, then you may have yourself a new strain! :D
