weird platy

My mickey mouse platy in my ten gallon just started hiding in the coconut shell I have in there. But the weird thing is that he's shaking his head back and forth, any clue why?...Looks psycho

Are you sure he isn't scraping against the shell? If so, it might be a precursor to ich.

Other thoughts:
Water flow too high
Problems with swimming, perhaps due to bad water conditions

He is shimmying, he isnt feeling well. Molys often do this when the water temp is a bit on the low side or the parameters arent to their liking.

do you have any other livebearers in the tank? Sometimes I get the odd one doing it, but later recover.

Yeah, there's another male platy, and I noticed that he was chasing the mickey mouse around before that, he's seems to be fine now though, so who knows. Thanks for your quick replies though guys
