weird lil square fish guy?

I've looked around a bit, and have only seen one once. A long long time ago, I lived around the corner from a fish store. Once, I saw this little tiny fish, the was almost a perfect lil 1" cube, little fins flapping like crazy.

Anyone know what it was/is?? It's been bothering me for SOOO long.
please help.

That'll be a box fish.

Box fish are marine fish closely related to puffers and also include the fabulous cow fish.

Fantastic little critters.

Here's an example, but there are several other varieties.

The yellow long-horned cow fish is one of the reasons that we may one day try our hands at marine fishkeeping.
Although with an adult size of up to 18 inches, it'd have to be a mammoth marine tank costing serious moolah.

Boxfish have actually had a car based on them, as they are (apparently, and this is hard to believe) the most aerodynamic species.

Don't worry puffer_freak, I also get some well dodgy looks when I see Yellow Cow Fish at the local aquarium as I tend to jump around excitedly and make high pitched sounds. Considering how often I have been there you would think I would have gotten over it by now, but they are so bizarre!!! They practically have sharp corners! And horns!!!

I have a Hovercraft fish same sort of thing, it is a very cool and perky fish.

He is made of strong stuff amour plated I think.He is funny and follows you round the tank.He attacks the magnetic cleaner and will follow your finger up and down the glass.His name is Percy.

I used to have a box fish(like the one in the pic) he was very cool too called Moby.
Unfortunatley when he died he wiped out 50 per cent of my tank with the toxins released.

But the cow fish is extremly stupid, always swimming into things
