Weird Guppy

I've seen those in my local Petsmart. They're sold as Lyretail Guppies. They look just like wild types coloration wise---I know, because I have some wild-type Guppies. But they've got that Lyretail mutation. Lovely fish, though.

as a matter of fact i own 3 endlers and no they are not endler hybrids!

You shouldn't breed endler with guppy's, as endlers are tough fish and the guppys will water there gentics down, so we end up with another weak fish.

I was never questioning that fact, i was pointing out unusual tail shapes are common in endlers and there is no such thing as split tail guppys.

I've never heard of a split tail guppy either, if i saw one probably think it had finrot.

I have 5 of these and mine definatly have no endler in them because i have no endlers and they are home bred but there 3 brothers just look like normal guppies

yep i also have 1 that looks the same as that one but he's not an endler because i got him from a friend across the road and they had bread them and the dad was a beutiful normal guppy with a blue tale and the mother was a normal BIG guppy with a plain tale so maybe he is one like that because mine looks like an endler all the pretty colours the tale but he's not he's a guppy i'm so happy with him

hey guys, i wasn't aware that this post was still going. i posted it a long time ago. i just thought i'd update. my guppy/endler whatever he is (i really think he's a guppy) is doing great. he's been upgraded to a 55 gallon and he zooms around the tank SO fast. he's fun to watch. i wasn't planning on intentionally mating him with the female guppies. if it happens, it happens. i can take care of the fry with no problem. none of the females look pregnant, anyway. but maybe one day.
