scroll down a little bit, these are designed a little different, do you think, if pet stores are going to market these things at all, that these are better? I still would never put MY beloved betta in one though. 1 gallon is he smallest I'd let him in.

Theyre just wrong. Really wrong. But since we can't make them stop selling them, at least these dont have those roots all up in them.
