a nice size weather loach has been brought into the shop by a customer and i'ved put it aside for myself to put in the pond.

I thought i would check that it's ok to do so first?

they brought it in from a tank as it was sucking on other fish.

Hi Paul
From what I can gather you need a muddy bottom for them to burrow in. During the winter you must keep a hole open in the ice, by having the pump running and disturbing the surface or via a heater.

Apart from the above, there are no special requirements for them.

Hey Paul,

excellent, already have stones in there for the stone loach so they should be fine burying in that. Guess he'll be moving home tomorrow, i'll post a picture up.

cheers

OK this is the sencond time I have seen somone say that they was sucking on another fish. I have had them for years and never seen them do this . But it sould do ok in your pond they can live in about anything.
