Hey :D i've got a lonely goldfish in a 30 gallon coldwater tank with 2 filters and a plant to keep him company. . :/

Thought he might enjoy a tankmate and have researched possible suggestions. . . . :)

Weather loaches look easy to care for and was wondering if anyone could give me any care instructions incase i get them or suggest possible alternatives?. . .

Thanks, info appreciated. . . . :D

They like to be in groups, need covered tanks and prefer sand substrate for burrowing. They are very active and eat most things but catfish pellets are good and they'll eat flakes from the top in most cases.

:)

What is the tempature of your tank? Peppered cories might be good too as they prefer colder water and like much the same as the above.

:)

I have a weather loach that hates others of his kind. I started out with 3 and he beat on the other 2 so bad I had to remove them, one did not make it. I thought maybe it was a male thing so I got 2 more and returned them to the pet store a couple hours later. He is 3 years old now and is vary happy by him self. He is in a tank with other botttom feeders and never bothers them, unless they are ghost shrimp. :hey:

I had a weather loach. They're not very lively and hart to catch in nets but are fun to watch slither about when the do move. Just make sure everybody in your famil or all your friends like things that slither.

i have 5 weather loaches and have no problem with them and it doesnt have to be sand as i have pebbles and still bury themselve under but can be pain in the A--- when the weed is brought up but do put weed is different place when putting it back and yr orginments move or knock over i just leave the oraginment alone as once it happen i leave it and it been same all time as never disurb the water plus they are useful to scavaged loose food abt where big fish cant reach..............
