We went shopping and we spent too much money

How much are those chaka chakas? I want one! Would a 55g house them ? :p
I think we paid around £15 for them, but that could be quite different from what stores ask for in the US.

They would happily go in a 55g. Ours are in a 40g with our dragon puffers. If you do decide to get one, bear in mind that they will eat small fish i.e. tetras.

Those chaca chacas are great! If i were to see any around here i'd sna them up straight away

Hope you gave paul a decent tip for his service :p

Yep, we bought him some river shrimp from an LFS near us for his ABFs because no one near him does them. :D

Glad they're are looking so well...your lucky those barbatus were still there as I was thinking about nabbing them!

I don't think other staff were having much like with feeding the chaca's so they were basically hand fed!!

I think i might end up having the other chubby after all  I'll have a big enough tank in the end!! damn I gave you the biggest one

Wow  neat fish!

Complete newbie question here: but in the pic captioned "Everyone wants to get in on the shot" - what is the fish in the top left corner? Purty!

:kewlpics:

Those pictures are fantastic, and those are some amazing fish, especially the chaca chaca's, I've never realy know what they were until I read this  . I nominate the picture of the Chaca Chaca and Roy the pleco (if I allowed to nominate two pictures at once) :D

That is a Krib, an African Cichlid not from the rift lakes. They can be fairly adaptable to a community tank, as long as they are not breeding. They are commonly available at most LFS's :)

Wow great pics!

just one quetion what is this? (ringed in red)

I'm sorry for nicking the barbatus - but Phillip was potty about getting them. :) The chubby is very nice, but very shy, I haven't seen him today.

We didn't have a chance to get any neons today, but I'm gonna try them on waxworm in a minute.

Wow, just gorgeous! I second Roy's nom - the one in the tank with sand on him.

He looks like a rubberlip pleco - are they the same thing, different names?

Oh well no worries, my tanks a bit over crowded with bottom feeders

well i'm glad you didn't get me to net the neons, i'ved had to catch about 100 of them since i started work

yep I'm going to have to give you a nom for the chubby and chaca's, there great fish!!
