Ok, i think i know what my new plan of action is with my wcmm's;
a. Im think of downgrading my bettas tank, maybe to a 5gal- i figured it shouldn't be too difficult to find space for a 5gal, although i will have to buy it a new tank as i don't have any 5gals lying around.
b. I do on the other hand, have a 30gal hex lying around, is 1ft wide and 2ft high roughly, it can fit pefectly where my current 10gal stands and i can just move the otos and shrimp to my main tank if i downgrade my bettas tank- the wcmm's can go in the 30gal, plus i might get some other sub-tropical fish as well
