Ways Of Catching Fish?

I lower the water level to as it easier to catch fish from the top of the tank. And if they jump they don't end up out of the tank.

When i moved my tank... My black molly just wouldn't cooperate. Just be persistent and you'll get it eventually

A jug to catch livebears. Mine just swam into the jug lol..

same.. drop the water and remve most of the trimmings, 2 nets and in.. gotcha ya bugger!!......... 20 mins later of course

oh and a tank divider comes in handy so you only have to wrestle them in 10 lires rather than 100

Got them out - took the big deco out and lured them into a wall where i waited till they slipped up then BAMMMMMMMM daddy got them.
There all happily swimming around together now.

I have herd of feeding the fish using the net every so often so they come towards it which is a good idea.

Not really a fix for short term though

thats what i do and it works it gains there trust but you have to doit 2/4 days before removing them not all the time

I have real problems catching certain fish..tetras included (hillstream loach is the worst!) for the stubborn ones I use a clear container, just place it under them and down they go into the tub!

you can olso buy a infra red net the fish cant see it apparently my lfs sells them only £3/4

I'd lower the water level for a start - 40% is a good bet - and use either two nets or a net and a plastic jug. When you pop the net in try to herd them towards one of the front corners, and use both nets (or the net and the jug) to keep them there, where you can see them. If they hide somewhere else use your hand to get them out into the open again.

Can be a complete mission but you'll get there. And if all else fails remove the decor.

my male BN is a right pain, i use a clear container with a bit of food in it or a net to guide him in there, i have always used this method or 2 nets
