Right, I have always heated any warm water in my tank with a kettle. I believe this is because hot water sitting around in your water tank can be bad for fish. However our water is not heated like this. Our boiler heats cold water as it flows straight into the house and then through the taps. We have no water tanks. Do you think it would be safe to use water straight out the tap.
Thanks

Hi shrimply :)

It would be safe unless you have a new hot water heater connected to very old pipes in your house. I've never done it any other way. :D

It is actually a really old house so it is probably best I continue to boil the water. Thanks for the info.
