Hi All,
Im currently in the setting up stage of my 800 litre tank, I know that severn trent water uses chlorimins as there fav posion for my tank, im currently thinking of making sure that none of this stuff gets in my tank, If some people who know about chemistry might help me
1 Im thinking about running the water 24hrs through activated carbon, ive been told this would break it down, but then this leaves me with ammonia, is this correct?
2 Would a Ro/Di unit be of help in getting rid of this, I know these usually are for Marine, put to make sure your tap water is 100% safe, would this be a possibility, or
would this be to pure for a Tropical setup
3 I know you can use tap water treatment, but would prefer so use a backup at the same time, considering I will be keeping some expensive in the 800ltr, I would like to know im well protected
Any help or comments on this would be thanked.
