Im using a Mardel water testing kit for both all testing purposes. The Ammonia test strips have 3 different colored pads and on back of container shows color for amonia levels. Which pad am I supposed to be looking at when reading the levels? Also the other kit is a 5 in 1 test kit and the pads on the strips are not labeled as far as which is what. I can look at the back of the container and figure out the colors which come closest to what is listed but it doesnt seem accurate as one pad is blue when tested and there isnt a blue square on the back of this container. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't think these type of kit are generally liked.......The liquid ones are better :good:

Pezant you'll be better off getting a liquid test kit. I got test strips like you when I first started and they were a nightmare to read, I got the API Liquid Master Test kit and I haven't had a single problem :)
