With a pH that high, I would suggest that you keep your ammonia as low as physically possible.
.25ppm may even be dangerous at pH 9.0.
Do daily 30% water changes until it's back down and under control.
Alternatively, you could return the danios, which don't really belong in a 10g, and go with fishless cycling. That would be much much safer and less stressful in high pH water.
