and no, it isn't because of the conditioner
I am not 100% sure how long it takes to see an ammonia reading while doing the add food daily method

I think you should look at the fishless cycling thats pinned in the beginners section and do the "add Daily" method, ive been doing it and its quite good and quick! Doing what your doing will take ages to cycle i think.

flakes take longer to turn into ammonia, they're also a lot harder to control the amount, you need to get it up to 5ppm to do a proper fishless cycle, your probably not adding anywhere near enough flakes.

i would get some household ammonia and use that to cycle it, it's quicker and easier

how big is the tank. you may have to add more. have you used anything to kick start the process, like filterstart

the only reason why i aint using household ammonia is that i cant find any around here... only cloudy...
i have put CYCLE in the tank to kickstart it....

but isnt the results i got now ok for fish to be introduced lol???

arnt my stats safe to have fish in it... does it matter that nitrate is 0
