I changed my betta's water today, but I am scared that I may have made a mistake. I poured out about 50% of the water and replaced it with bottled water. This is where I am starting to think I went wrong. I read at another site that you cannot use de-ionized or distilled water, which I didn't, but it does say on the bottle that it is "ozonized." I looked up what that means and basically what they do is turn all the oxygen in the water to ozone, which isn't good I don't think. Now there are small bubbles forming on the sides of my fish bowl and he seems to be going to the surface more often for air than usual. Is there something wrong with the water?
Some other factors to consider:
>It is a hot day here, the temperature is at 31C (89F) without humidity, and at 37C (99F) with humidity. I only got him the other day and it was nowhere near this hot on any other day I owned him.
>I have a chlorine neutralizer in the fish bowl with him.
>Being stupid, for whatever reason I decided to put a very small amount of tap water in the bowl (maybe 10% or less of the total amount in the bowl) I am getting more water tonight but I still want to make sure he will be ok until then.
