Water Quality

I'm about one week into my new tank set up and my water readings are still...Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, PH 5 Acidic.....I have 4 Tiger Barbs in the tank, (oops, 3). I thought that my Ammonia/Nitrite levels would be rising and I'd be doing water changes by now.....am I "pushing the envelope"? Advice please... John NYC

Check out skimpy's pin about cycling with fish. Skimpy didn't get a reading until 8 days and it was nitrite....and then not an ammonia reading for 14 days....maybe that's just how it goes...weird huh?

I'm sure you'll see something soon.
