hi, im in the market for a cheap water pump to aid my W/C's. i currently own an eheim compact 1000 and whilst it was ok on a 240L its not going to cut the mustard on my larger aquarium. i really need something that can pump 2000-3000 lph, rather than the 1000 of my current one.

any one know of any going cheap etc?

what one do you guys use?

I got mine from Ebay, its a Hailea 1750lph model. It is an inline pump and does the job ok but its cheap tat really.
Think I only paid about £15 for it though.
Might be worth you having a quick look on Ebay as I just saw this EBAY for cheap money. You just need to be sure you can get some hose to fit the inlet/outlet.

I got a pond pump for mine , seemed to be alot cheaper than an aquarium one. Something else you could try is one of the pumps they use on boats, cant remeber what theyre called but they'd to crazy amounts of gph
