my mate who owns an aquatic store has tested it a few times etc and its always the same readings as i get ;)

well must be correct readings then, Only the lack of any nitrate reading that is baffling, do you use any "removers" ?

Kirky asks a good question there.

Also does your tap water system go through a water softener or purifier, something like that. Have a look under sink cupboard and see if there is sort of cannister connected to tap water pipes.

No Kirky i dont, well i have a purigen pouch in the filter...Charlie there is no canister on to the taps etc just normal plumbing under the sink....i used the purigen,as my WP were all over the place etc.

Purigen is a "remover" and targets nitrogenous organics and that would include NO3

Ahhh i see thats why the readings is zero ;) but yet its zero at the tap also,so what should i do?

Where in the UK are you? where I am in Birmingham I have 0 nitrate tap water, well the api test kit shows it as 0.

Yes, it's fairly uncommon, but there are places in the UK that have very low nitrate levels in the tap water. I'm in Cornwall and mine is usually 0; it does go up to 5 or 10ppm on occasions.

Am in northern ireland,i thought that there was maybe something up with the water here ,but it all seems to be fine :)
