I have a 350litre tank with a all pond solution 2000ef+ filter..
I have the spray bar along the right hand side wall an the inlet part at the for left corner I had the spray bar facing down the tank with the holes facing the surface but the current is for to strong for my angels they look to b struggling swimming into it... So I turned the spray bar that the holes are facing the glass behind it spray slightly upwards to disturb the surface..
Was wonder would this still filter the tank ok an do the same job as the other way?

Oh an i don't think there is anyway of adjusting the flow on these filters..
Any help would be great...
Thanks

There should be a way of adjusting the flow at the cutoff valve, just by turning or moving it.

EDIT: Just looked it up and there's a shutoff tap that you can use to adjust the flow.

It's just a like lever thing that you push the lever up to disconnect it an that cuts the water of automatically.. I thought when I was buying that there would be a turn of valve as well..
Do u think it would filter properly the way I have it??

I don't know how you have it. But the lever controls the flow of water as well. I have the same on my Fluval and I have it at about 3/4 speed. It works fine.

Alternatively, if you are pretty sure the Angelfish are stressed, add more of the 3 supplies spraybar modules and place this longer output on the back wall.

However,  be aware that this will will reduce the turnover of the somewhat! Without any spraybar modules, the 2000EF does well to do ~1200lph, with all three modules ~800lph appears to be as good at gets (a few of on here did random external filter tests a year or so ago).

If I move the level up at all it just loosens the connection to the canister...

I had it on the back of the tank with all the connections to the spray bar on an the flow was the same...

Is there no other way of pointing the spray bar that it does the same job I have it spaying against the glass at the min but don't know if that will circulate the water as much...

Stuff more media into the filter, more floss etc, im running a Fluval 205 on a Fluval Ebi 30l.
