does anyone know how much water 1kg of rock will displace. now i realise this cant be an exact formula due to differing densities of different rock but was just looking for a ball park figure, so i know roughly how much RO water i'm likely to need to buy.......many thanks, kevin

Dont know the answer mate but not a bad thing to have some RO water left over for top ups from evaporation etc..

The average density of Calcium Carbonate in aragonite and calcite is 2.77 Kg/dm[sup]-3[/sup] - Therefore 2.77Kg of rock will displace 1dm[sup]-3[/sup] (Litre) of water. 1Kg of rock will displace 0.[sup].[/sup]370[sup].[/sup] dm[sup]-3[/sup]
