Outside of an epoxy seal, and the obvious scrubbing and soaking, does anyone have any idea of how to lose that yellow tint? I've had the driftwood for three months now and it still leaks yellow!

You don't want to. The yellow tint actually simulates the wild. The fish love it. You can even buy the yellow tint at the LFS. I think they call it black water. Fish native to the south americas will thrive in it and your plants will love it.

But if you still want to, soak it in hot or boiling water for 48 hours and then add activated carbon to your filter.

It is a natural occurence though and so long as your fish can tolerate it (i.e. they are of Ammazonian origin) then everything should be OK.

Activated carbon will reduce the natural pigmentation for a while, but it wears out quickly. I'm afraid I am one of those people who use black water extract to get the colour back after the wood has leached out totally!
