Hello,

I have just performed my first 10% water change and I made sure that the temperature of the new water was as close as possible to the tank water temperature wise, (via finger - really need a digital thermometer) and I added the chemical to the new water that removes the chlorine and chloramine from the tap water. But, is the water supposed to sit for a period of time before being added to the tank?

Thanks!

Declorinator works within a few seconds. Many people, myself included, fill tanks straght from the tap, adding dechlorinator as the tank fills.
