hi.
i noticed that there is a LITTLE condensation of water occurring inside the heater. I believe water made its way through some little opening somewhere near the top??? The condensation is occurring at the top-inside of the submersed heater. I see no water or condensation occurring anywhere at the bottom near the coils where the heat is produced. The coils look in perfect condition in other words. Besides that, the heater is working fine. I dont want to spend money on a new heater unless this is a worrying problem which may endanger fish. So is it?
Thanks for any replies.
P.S. the heater is fully submerged for a couple of yrs now and i only noticed the condensation within the heater over the last few weeks.

mines the same but I have just left it. the sensible move would be to change though probably lol

When i was setting up my tank i had to take my first 2 heaters back as i had the same problem, the condensation one day would be at the top of the heater and the i would wake up the next day to find it has made its way down to the coils. Then they wouldnt work anymore.
I rang my friend when i spotted the mostuire in the top of it and he said it was normal, but to see how it goes and if it got to the coils, i was told to replace it.
My heater is a 'heto' brand and find it hard to recomend to anyone as i still dont trust mine.

i would probably get a new one.

i know of someone who had this problem and came home one day to find a tank full of dead Tropheus, i saw the photos, not a pretty sight
