What would be better to change 25L every wednesday and every sunday
or 50L on the sunday?

Stocking wise is 25-30 guppys varying size
one chinese alge eater smallish
0ne bn plec small size

Cheers

it is completely up o you. I will say do it once per week for the simple reason that twice per week on a typically stocked tank is more than you need, and unnecessary work will just turn the hobby into a chore. But as far as it goes you can do 10% every day if you really wanted to.

It also depends if you have any issues with your PH levels and water hardness/softness, IE:If your water is very hard and you have to use anything to lower the PH in your tank, then smaller, more regular water changes would be less stressful to your fish.

Also thinking about it that it should keep the water fresher for longer as i could get the poop up quicker?

Yet your cycled filter would/should deal with this issue (Ammonia)..but there is nothing wrong with that i suppose, if i have a large, sudden build up of poo on my sand overnight then i always get the siphon out and remove 5/10 litres.

I do 30% every 4 days.

We have very soft water with low ph. By doing this and having made a few other changes I am hoping to avoid another ph crash.

water change frequency and size should mainly depend on keeping the nitrate level manageable.....that is the main purpose of the water change.

you want to aim to keep nitrates as near to you tap water levels as possible so adjust your frequency and volume to that.

I have the same issue where i live, rummynose..have you thought about using crushed coral in your filter/tank? I use a handful in my tank and a small basket full in my external filter, keeps my PH up at a constant 7.2 with the added bonus of knowing that it is very less likely to crash.
