For the water changes do you guys dechlorinate the water before you put it in? Or put the tap water in then dechlorinate it. Or does it really mater?

I put the water treatment in the bucket first then put the water in, it makes sure it's mixed in well.

I do the same.

Also, I read that some people leave the water in the bucket overnight before adding it to the tank. Is there any merit to this?

Add it to the bucket for smaller tanks, or for larger or multiple tanks add it as you fill with a python or whatever.

Last week I changed out just shy of 300 gallons between all my tanks. That's 300 out & 300 in. That many buckets would take forever, not to mention the wear & tear on the back.
