Water Change How Much

what will my recommended water change be for a 1000 litres system ?

at the moment i do around 50 litres a week

That seems a little low to me. I try to change at least 1/2-3/4 of the total water within the month, at the very least. What you're changing now is about a fifth or so.
Of course, I only do water changes 1-2 x a month, but larger. The more frequent, smaller ones are probably better even if it doesn't replace as much water within the same time period.
I'm also of the mind that if it's working for you, don't change it.
