Wat do guppie frys eat?

I have a bunch of guppie frys and I just feed them regular fish food. Is there anyother type of food I should feed them? Any food to help them grom, brighten their colors, or keep them healthier?

I feed micro worms and crushed flake food. I use a spirulina based flake as well as a typical high protein/high fat tropical flake, alternating the two. Usually any good flake food crushed up well enough should do.

Fry will eat whatever you feed the parents, but in poweder form. I feed mine the powder/crumbsthat are at the bottom of the food containers, food like: blood worms, tubifex worms, brine shrimp pellets and flakes. Just try to make the food very, very small and you should be fine.

Well if your fry are living with the parents then the fry will eat whatever you give the parents just the tid bits that fell off of what the parents were eating. This includes flake food, daphnia, brine shrimp.

If your fry are by themselves then your going to have to crush the flake food up into a powder form by placing a good amount in a ziplock bag, close the bag, roll a pen back and forth over the bag on the table until you can't crush the food anymore.

Also you can try feeding your fry crumbled up egg yolk but that messes up the tank.

There is a special formulated liquid fry food that you can give to your fry, also messy but not as bad as egg yolk.

You can hatch fresh live brine shrimp or grow microworms and feed that to them fresh out of the hatcher.

Also, my fry will eat off a shrimp pellet so you could try different types of fish pellets of food.

They are in a serperate tank but I have been crushing their foOd and they have been eating a lot more. ThanX AlL.

good luck and enjoy the fry. i started mine out with baby brine shrimp(frozen) and they grew really fast and healthy. then i did the flake and brine shrimp.

Yes, flakes will be ok. If you want them to grow fast, try varying their diet and feed them daphnia and brine shrimp. I feed my fry a mix of crushed flake food and daphnia and bloodworms. HTH!

i actually went out and bought my fry hikari first bites. he really liked it! and so did mommy platy

but just crush whatever your guppies eat and your fry will eat it too.

I bought that too for my first batch of sword fry. It was only like $3.00. They loved it.

Now, I'm feeding some to my Krib fry.

how are your fry doing? in a couple days you should notice some colour in them.

They have grown a lil bit bigger. I don't see any colors on them tho. I will tell u guys when they start getting their colors.
