Was Worried My Fish Would Eventually Fill My Tank

i thought it was on the picture on the backing until i saw the second picture.

its amazing how they are still alive with just an internal filter too.

i was under the impresssion that an oscar needs a 100g tank and a 125g for 2 minumim. this tank is under 50g

They look pretty old/adult to me, i very much doubt they even move around a lot. The filter will easily manage them. Im not saying its an ideal home for them, far from it, maybe its just been a temp holding tank. We will never know :)

Lets be honest, aside from communities (like this one) id be wiling to bet most oscars/large fish are in tanks like this. I see it VERY often in for sale ads.

poor fishies. Seen as this tank is for sale, these fish are probably not around any more.....

.....or, lets hope they got moved to a much, much bigger tank.....

I'm trying to sell my 7 inch oscar for fear of anything like this and I have a 350litre.
Fully grown in my tank I have visions of having to rub vaseline on him to let him turn round.

Shocking.

Agree with this, most people that do it too are in there young 20s and think it's cool because it's a massive fish and will eat pretty much anything so they feed it goldfish ect.

You never know though, maybe he sold a larger tank and had to hold the oscars in there for now?

That's a wee bit harsh. Where have you got that idea from?

I see it alot on youtube and on random websites, people acting like it's cool feeding there oscars 'dodgy' things.
They all look around my age too (early 20s, im not an old grumpy man hating on the youth of fisk keepers :fun: ).

Was just saying majority of them do that from what i've seen, didnt mean to make it sound harsh?

I was just wondering, that's all proxo, no offence. I really stay away from those videos, they just do my head in what with people letting a pirahna bite them and other, equally stupid things.

Kk sorry pal, i read your first post in the wrong way a little  .

I used to watch a few of them before i got really into fish keeping as that was really the only stuff that would pop up on youtube, couldn't watch any of them now adays.
Seen 1 video of a guy feeding a 6inch male green terror to a bunch of pirahna, i was almost down a pc screen.
