Wanted Red Belly Piranha

hi fool, you have a 140 gallon fish tank and want two dozen red bellys, you can do that IF you do it properly. that means frequant water changes, heavy filtration, having a large bio load, and buying the fish with the intensions of:

A. selling them when they out grow the tank.

B. move them to a larger tank when they get bigger.

C. survival of the fittest.

if you go along with what i listed above, youy should be in good shape. remember it takes time for these fish to get a foot long. good luck.

Start off with 10-12 fish as long as they are small. You may lose a few along the way. You should get away with about 6-8 adults in a US 140g.They should be about 7-8 inches in a year,So it won`t take that long for them to reach adult size.

Id say 6-7" for tank breds and 7-8" for wilds and then an inch a year after.

I agree with 6-8 in a 140G :good:
