Hello all,

we live in Sunny Swansea in South Wales, and been trawling the surrounding area for the last 3 weeks trying to get some decent Malawis, we spent all day Saturday driving around,(AGAIN)

does anyone know or have any nearish us, we are willing to travel within reason,

or it looks like a roadtrip for us. lol

thanks all

Maybe your best bet is to get them delivered to you.

I can recommend afew breeders I use.

How long have you been keeping malawis for? and how big is the tank?

You will need to make sure everything is in order with the tank before you buy the fish.

I only ask as I dont want you to buy some nice fish to see them die in front of you.

thank you for your reply,

our tank has been set up for about 2 months now, we are newbies at this but so far so good,

we have some aulonocara sunset, aulonocara firefish, obliquidens, peakcocks, blue peacocks, come gold head calvus,

they are in a foot foor tank with internal and external filter, with coral sand and ocean rock.

it does look as though our only options are long roadtrips or order on line, but want some advise on who to use/who can be trusted. who do you buy from and get delivered

thanks

The two I am currently using are both nice chaps and very helpful (both online websites).

midlands malawi. I have had several deliveries from him and very nice fish they are too.
and
Northants malawi. I have been to his house to collect fish but not had them delivered as I have family up there but if his packing is anything to go by you should not have a problem.

Generally to post fish, it varies depending on how many fish you buy. On average it can be £10-£23.

Just be abit wary of adding alot of fish at such an early stage of the tank being up and running. You might overwhelm the filtration.

Good luck.

I got my Malawis from Mal Rimmer on Aquarists Classified.
Very nice fish, good prices. And good advice from Mal.
