Hi FREDDIE thanks for your reply.
I have managed to find the images from a web site which shows the items that I am looking for. I purchased the unit some time ago through a well known auction site, but these parts was missing.
I made a temporary one using some 3/4 plastic overflow pipe, which is about 18 inches long and I drilled some small holes in the one end to allow for suction. This sits in the corner of the aquarium with the other end fitted into the flexible pipe to the filter unit. This works perfectly well for the moment, but I was thinking the time has come to get the correct & proper part?
Ok I have the Strainer but not the stem, but I have a similar stem from another filter which fits the strainer of which the rubber adapters on the 204 Filter pipes will fit onto it easily. I also have extra Stem Pipe from the same filter to allow you to Extend the length of the stem if you need it longer. So yeh I got the full Strainer and similar stem you need for the 204 or you can find the spares from suppliers just google "Fluval 204 Spares".

sorry just realised they are both fluvals the stem and strainer, so dumb was wondering why the stem fitted the strainer so perfectly
hmmm I live in london, shall we say £10 posted and ill thrown other fluval spares I have that I know may come in handy for you???
