I'm quite happy to go to my lfs or buy online. Was thinking of Thesnailshop if I buy online.
But if anyone has too many of any of these then I can take some off your hands.

I'm quite happy to pay for them aswell as postage. Although anyone who just wants postage costs...I'm not going to say no!

Snails (in order of preference):
Most Nerites
Colorful apple snails (not too keen on golden)
Colorful Ramshorns

Shrimp: I'm specifically after 5 cherry and 5 amano. But am more than flexible. I'm open to most types so long as they perform a similar jos. Are a similar size and live in similar water conditions.

Hi,

Are you willing to wait abit. I have three clutches of Apple Snail eggs on the go. All different colours, if they all hatch and some survive you are more than welcome to have some. Keep an eye on the relevent forum, which I'm updating.

Cheers

:good:

I'm looking for eggshell blues or purple striped apples - would any of the clutch you're rearing be these colours? if they are I'd be very interested as well.

Cheers

Steve

I'm willing to wait if they are coloured. Like I said, so long as they aren't golden (nothing against them, just don't appeal to me)
Then sure! I'll keep watching for when they're ready! :D

Bump - Looking to buy some later this week from lfs if no one is likely to have any available soon. :)

Anyone?

Hi,

Just to let you know the babies are comming along fine. Still can't colour them yet as they are still very small. Most of them have taken up home on the bogwood, and there is another clutch just been laid. Did you go out and get some? :good: :good:

Not yet. Sadly I have one of these full time job things *grr*...but hey. My fishies don't pay for themselves!
Does mean I don't get to go to the fish shop often :(, normally Sundays only.
I'm going tomorrow though! Yay for bank holidays.
What colours are the parents by the way? Just to give me an idea of what the babies might be.

I'll probably buy a snail tomorrow, but it's a 125l tank so I want lots more :)
It'll just keep my dad quiet as he's constantly moaning about the glass (ever so slight film on the inside)

Hi Ya,

Parents are as follows, 3 x Brown stripe. 1 x Purple (stunning) 2 x Golden 1 x yellow/white, so I could have quite a mix, I'm so hoping for some more purple one's, there's a whole buch of babies sitting on the bar just under the lights. God know's how many more are amongst the gravel. It's amazing that the fish are just leaving them alone, mind you there is enough plant life to keep them occupied. These are my first babies and I finding it totally absorbing in watching and learning. :good:

Sounds great :D

I saw a few nice powder blue snails at the lfs. I'm thinking of getting one of those tomorrow. Plus 2 corys *Yay*

Hi,I know I am a bit late in replying but I have a good deal of success with apple snails (sometimes too much  ) and the colours often come out different to the parents. I have a gold male who in combination with deep purple and blue and light purple mums can produce...purple, blue, brown, olive and gold babies.

If you don't want them to hatch just remove the egg cluster and put it in the bin. They need warmth and wet to hatch. I have a nursery tank as the assasin snails eat them when small.

I have about 10 egg clusters at the moment!!! :hyper: Be patient, Mummy snail knows where best to lay eggs, mine always lay in the spray from the air diffuser on the powerhead. About two weeks will see babies falling out of the eggs. :good:

You need a male and female to get eggs so you need at least three adults to be sure of this. Snail shop is the best uk place and have a huge range of snails.

You can have some of mine for free if you want to collect them, I am not set up to transport them like the snailshop. e-mailmeif you want some

goodluck
