Hi All, i'm looking for a clown loach to cheer up my loach who's mate died recently  , also looking for either julii or 3 lined cory's,
must be reasonably priced around leicester or market harborough area's :good:

Clown loaches tend to prefer bigger groups rather than pairs, for your info. And sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs but some people make the mistake of putting them in tanks that they'll outgrow - they do get pretty big, potentially up to a foot long.

Like I say, if you know the above apologies. If you don't, have a flick through the above threads - may be helpful to you.

ThinkFish iis funny , says i can have a couple of GT's in with my angels. the fun :)

Thinkfish isn't perfect, but the articles with individual fish info are good. So long as you've got a big tank and robust tankmates Leisaj you should be fine - 5 or 6 feet long should be big enough, they do get massive. One other piece of advice - don't trust your local fish shop. Alot of people get given bad advice from their LFS, best off to post on these forums if you've got questions or are planning an addition and want to know if it'll be compatible.

In the long run clown loaches will outgrow a 4ft tank unfortunately.

no the wont if ts a 48x24x24 they would live quite comfortably in that size tank likelyhood of them getting past 8-10 inches is very slim and it will also take a long time for that 2 happen anyways

Maidenheads at rutland are showing them in stock they're only 30 mins from mkt harborough.

I disagree, I've seen a few tanks with 10 inch clowns and given how active they are, I don't personally feel 4 foot is big enough. Not going to argue though, its my opinion and Leisaj can make his/her own mind up.
