I fancy something different in my plant community. I'm thinking of adding a bit of colour to the monotone green that are my tanks. What are my choices for flowering aquatic plant/s that'd work in my 20G's? :)

Only ones I can think of off the top of my head are apogonetons (they would flower outside the aquarium though), and anubias nana (flowers are rare, as I recall).

I have 4 Anubias in my tanks, and all of them have "flowered" at one point in time now. However, flowering is not what you'd think of. If you want to break monotony, get a few reddish plants as accents, like Alternanthera Reineckii... Myriophyllum Heterophyllum.... or perhaps the easiest, Cryptocoryne Wendtii "Red".
