Want To Make A Planted Aquarium

heres what im planning to buy

1) a clearseal 24x12 inch glass fishtank from pets@home
2) Venice Walnut Aquarium Hood 24" from - http/www.aquatics-direct.co.uk/productDe...?productID=1880
3) 1x 21 inch Interpet Daylight plus 55w Compact Lighting Lamp - http/www.aquatics-direct.co.uk/productDe...;categoryID=346
4) 1x Interpet T5 Compact 55w Starter Unit - http/www.aquatics-direct.co.uk/productDe...?productID=2373

im going to buy everything else like filter heaters seperately off ebay

anyone know wer i can get this stuff cheaper also

ye im not gonna do this its too costly im just gonna buy a tank with wooden hood if i can find one and adjust the lighting myself

I got the same tank , from the same shop ! All I have done is buy a 2 foot flourescent fitting from an electrical supplier = £8 and an aquarium tube £6.50
Then suspended it over the tank, just above cover glasses.
Not the prettiest arrangement I grant you, but it works - and is only a breeding tank in the spare room anyway.

Heres a pic as requested...

Pic looks a little crappy, due to a large underexposure - coz the light is so bright, and the rooms a tip ! But you get the general idea
Tank looks quite dark for reason given above, plus its cleanup day and theres a lot of floating plants ! (no, honest LOL)

i canonly see the tank
