Want To Breed Tiger Barbs

i was wondering what i will need to breed tiger barbs...

like what kind of tank set up

right now i have a huge 5 gallon tall bucket, that i can put a box filter w/ carbon in, as well as a heater

also i have new marbles, (not used or dirty, still in package) as well as some old ones that i can spread throught the bottom of the bucket

does anyone think this is a good idea? lol

please suggestions!

It's better in a tank so u can see when their breeding/breed.

You should have 1 female to 2 males.
Keep them separate them and feed hard with as much live foods a possible.
Once the female is looking fat (eggy fat not just fat)
place her in the breeding tank and then the 2 males and watch them.

They should spawn with in 2 days if all go's well. if not let them carry on for at least a week.
If she spawn's or look's thinner remove all the fish.

they will eat the fry as their hatching.

You got the right idea though using marble's and you need enough for at least 2 layers think. to stop the adults getting down and eating the eggs.

i know fry need brine shrimp...

i just figured out that i have

2 femal original tigers with 1 male

and i think i have three male or 2 male 1 female green tigers

Any live foods brine shrimp, daphina, blood worm. Their all wanted to help boost the females
