i have a 15 gallon tank 24" in length 1' in width 1' in height and i currently have 11 fish in the tank

2 Guppies
2 Dwarf Gouramis
4 mollies
2 white fish (their name escapes me)
1. medium size pelico

i want to add 3 tiger barbs to the tank as well as an apple snail and some plants would this be ok and not over crowd the tank

I'd not add anymore fish, your probably already mildly overstocked....
I'd start saving the money to go toward a new tank if your wanting a few more fish, or even an extra filter for this one as the bio-load is probably quite high.
Also what size is a medium sized pleco?
Definately worth adding some plants though :good:
In addition barbs can tend toward nippiness especially with guppies and mollies in the tank but also sometimes with gouramis, with little space it may be asking for trouble.

the pelico was called a medium at the pet store it's 3 1/4" in length

He was called a medium because that is what size he was then. A small pleco would be an inch or so, a medium 2 or 3 inches and a large about 6 inces. That doesn't mean that's as big as they will get.

I also agree that you really shouldn't add any more fish and especially not tiger barbs. They are definitely not community fish and would killing your other fish. To keep tiger barbs and ease the aggression, you need a minimum of 6 to 8 of them.

it's pleco, short for plecostomus, not pelico, but I suggest you go check out the "Plecos and other Loricarids" forum (under Catfish) because the most commonly sold plecos do not stay small at all, but reach sizes of 12" and up. You will need to get it identified because it's likely to get very large and will be cramped in your tank.

mollies really do best in brackish tanks, and as for your "white fish" if you post a picture of them, maybe we can figure out what they are.

I agree with the others, you really shouldn't add any more fish to the current stocking, especially considering the unknown identities of some of the fish. Tiger barbs do best in groups of 4-6+ but can be aggressive and may cause problems. They would be ESPECIALLY troublesome in low numbers. They are reportedly less nippy when in a proper shoal, but the profile here at TFF recommends no less than 30g for them.
