Want Something Different...

I've had several of my Anubias bloom, all without ferts, high lighting or CO2. They are beautiful plants for the lower regions of the tank and some varieties actually grow quite tall.

I never expected mine would, so about 18 months after getting it, I'm extremely pleased.

I felt like I won some sort of prize when I first saw it. And it always puts a smile on my face when I see it.

I know, I didn't even know they could bloom in the first place! I suspect they only do so when they're very happy with the water conditions......

Stop it, you're making me blush. lol

Either way, if the threadstarter ties Ferns or Anubias to driftwood they can easily move them to re scape & clean under and around. That's what I do in my Betta tanks as well as the 20 gallon high. In my bigger tanks I have the plants directly in the substrate and the ones in my 36 gallon do best with a weekly dose of liquid ferts & liquid CO2.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm really liking the wood with java fern I bought so I think one with anubias would look nice the other side. Then a few Shorty things in front and a few tall ones in back, think that'll be it :)

There you go, you have a great plan!

Just be sure to WASH the sand before you put it into your tank!!!

Cant wait to see pics! Once you have got everything in and sorted I'm sure your tank will look amazing. I am adding some bogwood with java fern and anubias in my 300gal. I bet it wont even take up a quarter of the space in the tank.
