Oh have they, thats unlucky as have not seem them any where else around here recently. Mine is around 6 inches and fairly deep bodied (picture on the classifieds section at the moment).
Going to go have a look, what is the thread called ?. They said like you said, they only get the good ones from the Czech republic and to ring in 2 weeks. I have rehomed all my community fish now. Just wondered if a cichlid only tank is wise or should i have something smaller and non cichlid as a distraction ?
I would say that it would be 'interesting'. It can go either way really and I would be prepared to rehome some of them at some point. Mine was fine until a few weeks ago, but now my Ellioti is being a pain towards my Severum, hence the reason he is in the classifieds section. I have 16 Black Ruby Barbs to try and help distract the Cichlids. Here is a pic of my Ellioti:
I think the sev are pretty peaceful. And it is always about the individual. My rotkeil male rules the tank. He does live more or less peacefully with everyone but challenges the red spot severum who is quickly moving to out weigh him. But that doesn't always matter. The Rotkeil did go after my male veil tail (angel) 's pectral fins and shortened them for him long ago so I separated them more because the veil tail has gorgeous fins than that he was at grave risk. Do you have firemouth pair/s? If so I would worry about any paired cichild and a baby sev.
Good luck. My rotkeil is gorgeous and a cool fish.
